Movie Review: Kung Fu Panda

June 20th, 2008 | 7 Comments »

Kung Fu Panda is cool, great, wonderful, excellent, funny, beautiful… I think it is the best cartoon film, it’s comparable with The Lion King.

Yensid asked me a question on The 12 Chinese zodiac animals, his question is: There was a movie about Chinese Zodiac in disney channel what was the title?

I don’t know, I never heart about that. But today, I watched a movie, Kung Fu Panda, is it the key of Yensid’s question?

Why I use so many adj words? Because I like Kung Fu Panda very much, I give full mark to it. Yeah, I have to say, Kung Fu Panda is cool, great, wonderful, excellent, funny, beautiful and more.

Cool, there are a lot of Chinese Kung Fu actions in the film, the best section is Panda and his master fighting in chopsticks, that’s florid Kung Fu style.

Great, the animals in the film are all symbolizing lucky in Chinese culture, and most of the animals are Chinese national treasure.

Wonderful, the scene is good at Chinese painting style, the house, montain, foods and many items in daily use are nice to me, I enjoy it immensely.

Excellent, the context of that scene clearly, and the story developed excellent.

Funny, it’s a cartoon film of comedy, the dialogue and facial expression are full in humor.

Beautiful, this admits of no doubt, the colourful pictures are very beautiful and cause to be enjoyable and pleasurable.

More, my english is poor, so, you must be get more harvest after watch it. My friend liciece also reviews this great movie in his blog: Kungfu Panda.

The last, if you want to read more about Chinese Zodiac animals, The 12 Chinese zodiac animals and The 12 Chinese zodiac animals II may be useful for you :D

June 19th, 2008 | 2 Comments »

I found that a successful blog must be helped by the other good websites. For example, John Chow’s early articles were digged to the Digg’s first page, Blog Storm’s early traffic had a fifty-fifty were drived from Digg too.

So, if I need more traffic, I have to join more the other websites, I’m sure that bloggers will succeed if we employ our cards well.

Today, I checked out an interesting Forum called Thoughts.com, it provide users with free blog and gallery, and many other useful functions, you can upload photos, videos and podcasts, or chat in the community forums and bookmark the latest news.

Personally, I think its free blog service is a good chance for me, because I can creating a mirror blog on it, and place my own blog’s address on each post. Then, the more friends read my articles, the more traffic will be arrived to here :D

When I joined it, I found that its blog service advanced with jurisdiction management: it allows me to decide for each blog post if I want it to be public, private, or only viewable by my friends. The jurisdiction management looks like Flickr or the other cool community websites.

Then I posted some articles and uploaded a few of photos on it, then added a few of friends via its Friend-Networks, the friend network looks like facebook, because I have get a lot of traffic from FB, so I trust the Thoughts also could give me traffic too.

Besides offering blog and gallery, Thoughts.com offers community forums and bookmark, these functions will also useful to get traffic. So I invite you to get on the bandwagon, set up your mirror blog and try to get traffic from it.

Who knows, you might become the next success blogger one day, enjoy ;)

Zongzi is the traditional Chinese food

Tomorrow is China Dragon Boat Festival, likes the other traditional festivals, we Chinese eat special food in the special day.

For example, we eat mooncake in the middle autumn, dumpling in Chinese new year, and Zongzi in the dragon boat festival.

Zongzi made of glutinous rice, stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves. The shape of zongzi range from relatively tetrahedral to cylindrical. Wrapping a zongzi neatly is a skill which is passed down through families, as are the recipes.

The fillings used for zongzi vary from region to region, but the rice used is always glutinous rice. Depending on the region, the rice may be lightly precooked by stir-frying or soaked before using, and the fillings may be sweet.

I like Zongzi, if you does not heart it before, I suggest you taste it, it’s great delicious.

There are many types of Kongfu in China, Shadow boxing, Shaolin boxing, Tongbei boxing, Bagua boxing, and Dabei boxing, no one knows the quantity of China Traditional Kongfu.

Dabei Boxing is a major boxing for Kungfu, but there is few people practice it, because it is more harder than the others. It is a combination system of Taiji, Bagua and Xingyi, to do well takes years of practice, it takes time to get achievements.

Because of Dabei Boxing is too hard, so old persons does not practice it. Fortunatly, the researchers of this boxing published an easy version for old ages. They can improve their function of the heart, and improve their function of the lungs via this great sport.

My mother likes Kungfu very much, she practices Kungfu many years, and practices everyday. Last year, I have wrote about the lovely Chinese old lady: My Mother Likes Chinese Martial Arts Very Much.

Recently the lovely old lady had learned how to Dabei Boxing, and she asked me recording the video of her labor.

How Much Does LaoWai Makes In China

June 4th, 2008 | 3 Comments »

Ten years ago, we Chinese could hardly see foreigners on street, so we named foreigners LaoWai, and believed they are richer than Chinese.

But today, there are more and more LaoWai in China, they come to China for study, work, business, travel or found families.

How much does foreigner make in China? Are they really can find higher salary than Chinese?

In contrast, Chinese or full-time blogger lives in a low income level in China, but LaoWai also can not get enough preferential policies or enviable salary.

Recent years, more and more foreigners come to China, there are over 200,000 foreigners work in China, so they have to working hardly to earn money as same as Chinese workers.

Usually, they work in the embassies, foreign companies, or teach English in schools, and do a part time works for movies or advertisements. But the most LaoWai works in telemarketing or translation.

Their salary almost with Chinese high salary workers, the salary is about 6,000 to 10,000 RMB per month. Of course, this level income is high for the most common workers, most workers’ salary just about 2,000 to 5,000 RMB per month.

Compared with serval years ago, LaoWai’s salary become lower and lower.

Update: I suddenly remember my friend Mabel, she worked in GanJi Friend Link Team. She told me that she is a girl, not a boy. For my mistake, please let me advertise her company website again:

If you lives in Beijing and need to find jobs, GanJi will give you a lot of help, you can: search jobs in it (job wanted), post your job-hunting infomation (job available), or try to get some part time jobs.

The last, this service is just opened for the LaoWai in Beijing now ;)
